Store News from September/October '10 Newsletter

As I work on the newsletter, Elizabeth & Mary Lou are in Minneapolis at the Husqvarna/Viking Convention. They are learning about the new products coming out and how to share it with us when they get back. I am looking forward to the new Ruby Embroidery machine, 5D Software; and oh, I almost forgot… they are also updating the Sergers.

We are making our store available for open sewing on days when there are no other activities planned. Check the calendar for these open days. Anyone can come in, but if you have a group that would like to reserve a day, please call in advance to hold the space.

Starting with this newsletter, in an attempt to save money and time, I will be sending newsletters via email to the people who have e-mails listed in our system. They will be available on the website - I am just cutting back on mailings. I am old enough to know that some folks like me, need to have paper in their hands to study. I still like books and snail mail, but these are changing times and I must adapt. If you’re like me, let us know and we will have copies at the store to hand out or mail.

Judy and Shirley are always doing something new and different, as well as some old and interesting things to let people know that Billings Sewing and Vac is a great happening place. People who come here leave more knowledgeable about machines and sewing projects.

Adult beginning garment sewing classes will be available. Linda Fisher is planning a Beginning Quilting Class this fall. Please help us to plan ahead for new and different ways of using sewing machines, sergers, embroidery and all the other goodies available at Billings Sewing and Vac.

Rocky Mountain Sewing Festival is set for September 24th & 25th. Gail Kellogg will be in our store to do two lecture demos each day. Sign up now for a fun informative time. Also coming in September-October, Marj Ostermiller has chosen some fun projects, along with Karen Parker, Sue Keene, Linda Fisher, and of course Judy & Shirley always have something going. Come try out all the fun and exciting things that these girls have to share.
